Kel's Story

This is not a story about giving up. This is a story about a woman who has been knocked down by cancer, by violence, by loss — and who is still standing. Still fighting. Still planning her next tattoo.

Kel's tattoos are her testimony. Each one marks a chapter of her life — the things she survived, the people she loves, the identity she has fought to keep. Now, with pancreatic cancer stage 2b and time becoming precious, she wants to finish her story in ink. These tattoos will go to the grave with her. They will speak when she can't.

The Chapters

2023

Breast Cancer — Stage 3

In 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I lost my right breast to a mastectomy. I went through treatment, I fought, and I survived. The scar on my chest is not something I hide — it is something I carry. It is the first chapter of the story I want written on my skin.

8 Years

Surviving Extreme Domestic Violence

For eight years I survived extreme domestic violence at the hands of my alleged perpetrator. His name is still tattooed on my shoulder — the last mark he left on my body. I am reclaiming it. I need an artist to help me turn that toxic mark into something beautiful. That is what this campaign is about: transformation.

Now

Pancreatic Cancer — Stage 2b

I am currently fighting pancreatic cancer stage 2b. I am in chemotherapy. My time is seriously decreased. I know that. And that is exactly why I need these tattoos now — because when I can no longer speak, my ink will tell my story. These tattoos will go to the grave with me. They are my legacy. They are my voice.

Always

InHerCorner247

InHerCorner247 is not just a campaign. It is a declaration. I am still standing. Built from pain. And I have always been in my own corner — even when no one else was. This platform is my call to every artist who believes that tattoos are more than decoration. They are testimony. Help me finish mine.
